Joe Mackey Elected President of State Organization
Joe Mackey, President and CEO of San Diego-based XL Staffing Service, Inc., has been elected President of California Staffing Professionals (CSP), the state trade association serving the $70 billion staffing industry. Mackey’s one-year term runs from July 2006 to July 2007.
With more than 300 members, CSP is the largest state chapter of the national American Staffing Association. As President, Mackey will guide the professional and legislative activities of the CSP throughout California, where the staffing industry employs some 244,000 temporary and contract employees every day.
Mackey has been active in CSP for more than a decade, having served as President of the organization’s San Diego Chapter, and as a past Secretary and Vice president of the State organization. This is Mackey’s second term as President of the CSP, having served in that role in 2005-2006.
Established in 1996, XL Staffing Service, Inc. is one of San Diego’s leading employment agencies providing temporary staffing services primarily to the industrial/manufacturing and tourism/hospitality industries. The firm has been ranked among San Diego’s top 10 fastest-growing private companies each year for the past seven years. XL Staffing employs more than 450 people daily.
